I don’t know when it will happen, but a time machine will be delivered for everyone to use. Someday, one will get invented, and I’ll convince the owner/inventor to let me borrow it (I think sci-fi writers will get a special pass to the head of the line since we already know the paradox spiel).
For me, I know that I won’t be any good without at least a semblance of civilization. I’ll probably check out ancient Rome (after brushing up on my classical Latin) since they had basic sanitation and civic infrastructure figured out. Just seeing all the old Roman ruins as living, breathing parts of a city would be breathtaking.
Aside from that, I don’t know that I’d be willing to visit many places before the invention of indoor plumbing. A lot of history was pretty disgusting 😉
How about you? Where will you head with your own turn in the time machine?
The Rules:
- You can’t change the past
- You can’t travel to the future
